"PROTECTED" TREES: These protected trees - some 25-35m high - post clearing are severely undercut, some on 2 or 3 sides, and almost ringbarked. Add to this the soil around them has been removed and replaced such that little is left undisturbed. A high rainfall and wind area, these trees are now highly likely to fall, a threat to the nearby roadway and incoming buildings and occupants. Authorities consider this as passing inspection for protection of these endangered and critically endangered woodland trees. Many of these trees will die from the total disregard shown during clearing and construction, and consequent stress related issues.
